FH FORMABLE PET FILM

FH films are specially designed for shallow drawing applications like formed tray liddings or egg-shaped containers. 

Imagine to downgauge, obtain a cost reduction in manufacturing and to achieve a more sustainable product at the same time – The new FH101 makes this possible!

The FH polyester film is uniquely designed for shallow drawing in both COLD and THERMO forming applications.

It offers superior printability over other substrates as APET, Nylon or PS, provides high dart resistance and puncture resistance. Its formability allows the usage in many different applications as egg-shaped containers, chocolate trays, blister packaging or formed lidding applications. The possibility for downgauging or structure simplification contributes to cost savings and a reduced environmental impact.

Formable packaging 

FH films are specially designed for shallow drawing applications like formed tray liddings or egg-shaped containers.

The FH allows easier printing and less costs of off-cuts. Also a downgauging of the total structure can be achieved. After lamination it can be perfectly formed to the final shape needed.

FH films can also be fully recycled with APET, see section below on sustainability.

Egg-shaped containers

FH films provide also excellent results in deep drawing applications as egg-shaped containers.

FH not only allows downgauging of the overall structure, but also contributes to the environment through replacement of PVC.

Cold Forming – Blister Packaging

The excellent draw ratio and dimensional stability of FH films enable the replacement of PVC and Nylon in Blister packaging, making it more environmentally friendly. Even a Mono PET blister packaging is possible!

Sustainability

A study at an independent test laboratory has proven that the PET film FH can be fully recycled together with APET in order to obtain new APET sheets.

This is especially interesting for lidding applications, whereas the lidding film (FH) can be fully recycled together with the APET tray. But also for other formable packaging applications, where the FH is laminated to an APET sheet, this gives a great advantage.
